Vedic Study - Study of the Vedas and
Vedic Tantric-Yoga of India

The Vedas are India's oldest texts and also the world's oldest texts also, in the ancient Sanskrit language. As such, they contain many ancient keys, relative to the original Yoga (called Vedic Yoga) as well as Ayurveda and understanding the Vedic Deities and the Sanskrit terminology and symbolism in a traditional manner, relative to the later forms of the Deities and Yoga practices.

This system follows that of the Vedic Tantric Yoga (Antar-Yoga or Inner-Yoga), which isn't simply Yoga itself, but an Integral System that embraces all Vedic sciences as Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology, as well as an intimate knowledge of Vedic Deities and Cosmic Forces that go along with it. Vedic Tantric Yoga isn't simply a 'Yoga' system, but a complete system of Vedic Knowledge and Teachings in itself.

Durgadas has worked for years to bring out the original system of the Vedas, as an expression of the original Vedic Advaita system and Tantric-Yoga. Training here is based upon tradition and also Durgadas' many insights added into these teachings, which expand on the tradition left to us by the Rishis.

This training follows the traditional Gurukula system of India, with mantras being passed down and practices of various deities being tailored as per the person, after initial consult with Durgadas, testing your aptitude for this path. While all walks of life can be benefited, much depends on one's own personal samskaras or karmic tendencies and adhikara or aptitude in any one given lifetime.

This is not a superficial Tantric system / program nor regime. It is not a weekend retreat and requires real, true dedication to the path, a sincere heart and ear and also an inner-drive to succeed in the deeper Tantric-Yogic path.

This program guides the sadhaka or spiritual aspirant into the deeper practices of Yoga, Ayurveda and the study of the oldest Vedic-Yoga along with insights from Tantric-Yoga of the Natha Sampradaya, which combines Shakta and Shaiva systems of Philosophy and specific Tantric techniques.

Durgadas takes a few students for these options for Advanced Study, which has the following levels, which require study of both Durgadas's books and also his personal guidance and assignments given to students and special teachings also.

At present, Durgadas is taking very few students, since this path requires much sincerity and dedication. It is a spiritual, not simply an academic learning programWhile it is open to all, we expect students to have at least studied the Mantric Ayurveda Course or Ayurvedic Lifestyle Course with us first, to better understand the terminology of advanced books and teachings.

About the Vedic Antar-Yoga or Vedic Tantric-Yoga System:

Antar-Yoga or Inner-Yoga is the highest form of Yoga today that is practised by several adherants in India in Natha, Siddha andother lineages, drawing from sacred Shaiva (devotees of Lord Shiva, the master of Yoga) and Shakta (adherants of the 'Path of Power' of the Goddess) Tantric texts which embody a deeper inner working of the Yoga system that is commonly known as "Hatha-Yoga" or forceful Yoga today. Vedic Tantric-Yoga itself is an Antar-Yoga or Inner-Yoga tradition that has many levels.

This system teaches the integration of Advaita Vedanta of Shankaracharya and also the Saiva and Sakta Advaita systems and how all of these can be correlated. Students will learn the similarities between these important systems and the greater system of enumeration and cosmology as per these ancient systems.

Being a Tantric system, it employs secret spiritual meditations (divya-dhyanas), practices (sadhanas) and higher mantras through the Sanskrit language in order to bring about certain biological changes in the mind and body. The Tantric tradition itself also relies heavily on alchemy as well as inner transformation to rejuvenate the body and take us beyond diseases and limitations of the outer world, bringing in the inner secrets of Ayurvedic Healing, that are among the highest of healing techniques in Yoga and Ayurveda systems, both of which fall back on the sacred Vedas of India, from which the later Tantric literature sprang. These employ a range of rare and special techniques and practices.

It starts off however with assessing one's ability to suit this path by assessing their biology and karmic anatomy (through Vedic Astrology). It is then that one is gently guided up through the various limbs of Yoga, not in their superficial, but complete manner as spiritual aspirants and begin working with deeper energies while also employing Hatha-Yoga techniques for transforming the body, but in their Integral forms. As one progresses, one is taught the deeper secret wisdoms that come with this path and remain even secret and shrouded in the mystery of Shaiva and Shakta traditions of India, forming part of the energetic Tantric Yoga system (that is non-sexual).

Inner Yoga is actually about preserving one's energies or ojas, the vitality of the body and transforming one's lower base energies such as raga (desire) and kama (lust) into higher functions for transforming the mind-body complex and creativity of the mind.

This system aims at creating fully-qualified Yoga aspirants, adept in this inner Yoga and will help to transform your life through transforming your body, removing your karmas which bring about limitations in this lifetime and more. You will understand your body's biology and mental chemistry and how to manipulate it through outer methods of diet, lifestyle and other methods as well as inner deeper Yogic methods and working with cosmic forces. You will understand how this system originated and the secrets behind the mystical language of the Rig Veda, the world's oldest text and it's Yogic and Philosophical symbolism.

Due to the deeper traditional nature of this system, Durgadas is taking only genuine people who are open to this greater path. It is not essential that you know Sanskrit or Hindi terminology, but it can be useful. The most important thing is that you have a deeper interest and dedication to this ancient inner form of Yoga and revere it's ancient and sacred origins. These teachings have been given to but a few in the past few thousand years.

The Tantric tradition does not discriminate based on caste, creed, religion or other restrictions. However, it does require that one dedicate themselves to the path and this expected that one be open to the Shaiva and Shakta or Tantric philosophies of India. You will be taught these in a traditional manner.

We have several books by Durgadas on these topics, which the student can also study to deeper their knowledge of this broader system and techniques, as well as facilitate in helping them learn the basics behind some practices. In addition, Durgadas has special Course Books he has written that deeper this knowledge that will be made available to students of this program also and relate to deeper esoteric practices, mantras, techniques and regimes which is a Life-long dedication, not simply a course. It is about transforming our energies we are born with in an Integral and deeper manner, not simply superficial.

As such, different paths suit different people, which Durgadas will assess. Each individual is unique. It is based on Durgadas' three systems: Vaidika Para-Yoga System, the Purna Ayurveda System and the Para-Saivadvaita / Para Purnadvaita System which has been constructed by Durgadas over the past twenty-years of meditation and research.

About Para Saiva Siddhanta:

What is Para Saiva Siddhanta?

This philosophy is known as Parapurnadvaita, the “transcendental complete advaita (non-dualism) ” system, which agrees with that of Sri Shankaracharya (born 509BCE, Kerala, India), but from his own works and  testimonies, not simply from the system as it is seen today.

This system goes back to the teachings of the Rig Veda and Upanishads and was revealed by Sri Dakshinamurthi to the four Kumaras and also by Sri Dattatreya to Sri Parashurama as well as being taught by Sri Shankaracharya in many of his works, while these have been overlooked.

While an ancient system, it was revealed to Durgadas in meditation over the past decade, along with the higher Ayurveda-Yoga system.

Some changes are also there representing the expansion of consciousness in this system (hence purna or  integral) and also the transcendental nature of it regarding the paracosmic body and  such (the para) aspect and such correlations related to the Vedas, twenty-one chakras and employing Ayurveda and Yoga in a unique manner, which sets this philosophy apart from other systems:

* The 99-level system of cosmic consciousness of Para Saiva Siddhanta and elaboration of tattvas or principles of cosmology is based upon the deeper teachings from the time of the Rig Veda onwards and includes study of theVedas and Yoga as also Ayurveda texts.

* The celestial origin of humanity from a higher-intelligence subtle species and how it has descended through the world ages and manifested as a physical and less-evolved being

* The elaboration of the Parachakra system and with Purusha as the starting-point of Self-realisation, this system, like other Saivite systems is very complex and integral (hence purna or complete).

* In this system, Self-realisation (Atmajnana) has several levels to be realised, not simply one.

* As per one's samskaras (karmic traits), one is given specific practices for their lifetime to evolve spiritually towards Self-realisation by utilising higher Yoga and Ayurveda in synthesis.

This system also describes for the first time, the yugas or world-ages in connection with the manvantaras (cycles of mankind based on Manus or progenitors) and avatars as also the devolving and evolving Manvantaras (cycles of humanity) and  expresses them from the levels of chakras as also paracausal, causal, astral and  physical dimensional forms and beings, as also an elaborate system dealing with the 21 Chakras as per the various temperaments of beings, including an in-depth look at the Parachakra (transcendetal chakra) system relative to Vedic deities, shaktis and the Sakti-tattvas, which is a unique correlation also.

In addition, two systems of philosophy are also central to Para Saiva Siddhanta / Parapurnadvaita:

1. The Purna Ayurveda system that is based on the complete system of Ayurveda and examination beyond the three doshas and reflects teachings of the original Ayurvedic Samhitas and Rig Veda

2. Vaidika Para-Yoga, the transcendental Vedic Yoga system that incorperates the Tantric deities and practices, as also those from the ancient Rig Veda reflecting the original Vedic Yoga with deities and practices seen as forms of Shiva and Shakti and Siva orders of later times.

The chief characteristic of this system is that:

"No ONE mantra, deity or generic recommendation suits everybody and must be tailored as per their own karmic evolution".

As such, sadhakas are given different and specific practices and regimes to follow.

The Para Saiva Siddhanta system  requires special initiations and practices, which unlike other schools, requires practices specific to:

- Deeper Ayurvedic recommendations by Durgadas

- Specific mantra-initiation andpractices (sadhanas) as per one's karma (in which the astrological chart is examined)

-Special forms of Shiva and the Goddess are given, with specific practices and mantras as per your astrology and Ayurvedic concerns

- As per one's profession etc.

- Study of the Rig Veda in light of the ancient Saivadvaita and Sakta-Tantra systems

A dedication to practising the systems of Purna Ayurveda, study of the sacred texts of Para Saiva Siddhanta and also daily sadhana or spiritual discipline are also part of this system.

About Teacher:

Durgadas is connected to the inner Natha tradition of Minanath, the founder of the Natha Sampradaya in India connected to Lord Shiva and the Goddess, as well as a Vedic Teacher, Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher, traditional Ayurvedic Practitioner and Vedic Astrologer. He has Tamil on his father and Rajasthani and Nepalese on his Mother's side, which was connected both to the Vedic and Tantric teachings. To date, he has authored seventeen books on Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedic sciences. He lives in Christchurch, NZ.

He stems from an ancient Vedic lineage with connections to the original Vedic-Yoga, it's rituals and symbolism as well as from a deeper Shakta-Tantra lineage in his family, which brings in deeper teachings he has received through this also. He is also a student of Pandit Vamadeva Shastri, who continues the Tantric-Yoga teachings through Vasishtha Ganapati Muni, the foremost disciple of the great Vedantist, Sri Ramana Maharishi.

In his own family, comes from a long line of Vedic Teachings himself, going back to Mahabharata times (c.3200BCE) and before, through the teachings of Swami Virajananda Saraswatiji and his student, Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati, dealing with the cryptic nature of the Vedic hymns and the Vedic Yoga system and rituals. His family is also connected to the deeper path of Tantric-Yoga and Shaktism (the path of the Goddess), with his mother being a great devotee of the goddess as Saraswati and Tara and also gaining the siddhi (Yogic power) of the Gayatri-mantra which were passed on to Durgadas. As such, he brings an Integral approach to the Vedas, based on his own insight and synthesis of teachings deriving from Vasishtha Ganapati Muni, Maharishi Dayananda and Sri Aurobindo on the Vedas along with guidance of his Vedic Teacher, Acharya Vamadeva Shastri. Durgadas has written seventeen books on Vedic teachings, of which all include specific teachings from the Rig Veda itself and the Vedic Yoga system.

"He (Durgadas) is a veritable treasure house of Vedic and Tantric lore, not simply of an academic or informational nature, but reflecting detailed Yoga practices understood only to rare souls who can truly extend their awareness beyond human consciousness. "

"He reminds one of ancient rishis like Vishwamitra and Bharadvaja who not only had the higher knowledge but made sure that it was protected and shared in the proper context of devotion and respect."  -Pandit Vamadeva Shastri (Dr. David Frawley)

Dhanyawad - Thank you for your message regarding our Vedic Tantric-Yoga Program. We will be in touch soon! Namah Shivaya!

I have found this course very interesting, rich and inspiring for me to go forwards, so first of all it is for me a base to start understanding Ayurveda. The knowledge I have learnt I am on the way to apply on my daily routine, for me and my family.

What some of our

latest graduates have said:

I took this course because it has all the original facets of Ayurveda. Most academies teach you how to face a physical problem. Here all branches are present and that's  how it is meant to be.

-Hans, Netherlands

I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of Ayurveda and Mantras. What I learned in the course has been extremely beneficial for applying Ayurveda principles and using the correct mantras for the different dosha types. It has been a blessing taking this course. Thank you.
